The contract of B[[?]] Brantley to contribute a school house for the use of colored people, in Montgomery Montgomery County Texas - dated 17th day of June last,1870, - approved by command of Maj. Gen D.D. Howard came to hand 16' inst.
Accompanied with the letter from you of July 11 - 1870 addressed to him, in which as you see you refer to a copy of contract for "repairing house at Brenham" which letter I here with return, that you may make the proper correction - for this place, one at Brenham - two if the paper intended for Montgomery was sent there.
