Gaston Atkinson Col'd of this place, claims that a certain William Smith living near Boon Hill, Johnson Co. N.C. owes him $10.00 for one mule bought in 1865 and states that he has not yet been able to collect the money due him.  Johnson Co being within the limits of your jurisdiction, I would respectfully request that you take the necessary steps towards the collection of said money 
The Post Office Office address of said W Smith is Boon Hill NC
