Dear Frank:
It was indeed nice to have seen you again, and I am only sorry it was all so rushed. As agreed, I am sending you herein, the photographs of the three paintings in which you will try to interest your friend the decorator (I am putting the dimensions in this letter as the photographs are mounted- they are of the canvases):

HUBERT ROBERT - "Landscape with Ruined Temple"
39-1/4" x 32-1/4"
Signed and dated "H. Robert 1796".
Price.... $4800.

MERCIER - "Concert Galante dans un Parc"
22" x 18"
Price.... $1600.

COLSON - "Portrait de Petite Fille"
18-1/4" x 15"
Price.... $1700.

Should you feel that your friend is sufficiently interested to warrant shipping, I would gladly, as I told you, send any of them directly to you.

Thinking over our conversation of yesterday about the paintings of the Paine collection, I may, in the course of the next few days, write anew to Mr. Metcalf, as you are not personally in touch with him. On the other hand, should you hear anything further in this matter, do not fail to let me know.

With kind regards,

Yours very sincerely,

(Germain Seligman)
