Henry Huntington, Esq.,
San Marino Ranch,
Pasadena, Calif.

My dear Mr. Huntington,

It was just a year ago when we had the pleasure to call on you and both my cousin and I often remember the splendor of your home and the very interesting stories you told us of your experiences.

We just heard with great pleasure that contrary to what you told us last year you had decided to buy again some furniture and works of art for the museum. We thought, in consequence, of writing you these lines because we have brought over quite a number of very important and unique things coming from the finest private collections in Europe.

Not wanting to bother you with a lengthy letter, we just want to mention two gold woven tapestries after cartoons by Raphael, the nearest to the famous set in the Vatican and the finest tapestries of that epoch in America;

A very fine Gothic tapestry from the last quarter of the 15th century whose pedigree is known since the day it was woven;

A very unique Roman wedding chest (Cassone), the only other one in this country being owned by Mr. Clarence Mackay;

A very fine collection of works of art coming from English, Russian and French private collections, among which is a famous pair of candelabra by Gouthiere coming from the Princess Scheremetieff;

A unique 15th century Italian Bronze by Riccio, very important and absolutely an unique model.

We also have a very fine set of Beauvais tapestry furniture, and an unique steel table made for Marie Antoinette.
