January 8th., 1945.

My dear Miss Crane:

In reply to your circular letter of January 5th., I wish to inform you that unfortunately I am unable to send you any other photographs of DEGAS and RODIN.

We had a very important group of RODIN watercolors a few years ago, but the negatives
remained in Paris, and as regards DEGAS, other photos would involve questions of copyright, as they are no longer our's [[ours]]. For your information, among them is the famous pastel of "Chez La Modiste" in the David M. Levy collection, and "L'Etoile" of Mrs. Diego Suarez.

Yours very sincerely,

(Germain Seligman)
