Gentlemen: ATTENTION OF: Mr. Clyfford Trevor

Replying to your letter of February 18th we are obliged to you for your favor in reducing the cost to $12,000 net. We think it is the best tapestry we have seen in the place but pieces are being submitted very much inferior and as we think, not suitable. However, that is part of the gamble and we hope we will be able to do some business for you.

I will have "The Harvest" tapestry returned as I think that is definitely out of it, being too high for the space, as a table would cut into the picture too much.

Thank you for your favor.

Very truly yours,

L.B. Jennings

Transcription Notes:
*Unsure of the shorthand at the bottom of the page to left of "LBJ" *Unsure of some words in second handwritten note. Believed to be a title of an art piece maybe as it looks like quotations? *Tap in first handwritten note short for "tapestry" based on context
