Gentlemen:

Acknowledging receipt of your letter of recent date, I was pleased to learn that you had taken the matter up promptly with Mr. Schrafft. Yesterday, on his return from New York, he told me that he had picked up some tapestries over there for about a third of what we were asking. I thought your price of $14,000 was very reasonable and we want to thank you for all the trouble you have had in this matter. We are sorry we were not able to sell tapestries. However, we shall bear you in mind in the future when we are in need of buying any.

Thanking you again, we are

Very truly yours,
