Mr. Clifford Trevor,
C/o Jacques Seligman & Co. Inc.,
3 E. 5lst St., New York.

Dear Mr. Trevor:
Two weeks ago I wrote you regarding a tapestry which a client of mine was sending to you for cleaning, mending and relining. Last week when I was in New York, I called at the galleries twice. I didn't see you, or anybody else - everybody reported out of town. The young chap at the desk knew nothing about receiving the tapestry and he conferred with somebody else there, and they knew nothing about the tapestry.
I have a letter from my client this morning, Arthur G. McKee, who is the owner of this tapestry, and in it he says several days ago the Gage Galleries of Cleveland for-warded the tapestry to you.
I dislike to trouble you but before this gentleman went to Florida he asked me if I would have the tapestry taken care of right and, knowing nobody but you, who I felt would be interested in doing it right for us, I had it sent on to you. The tapestry is fully insured and at the completion of the repairs, would you kindly inform me and I will advise disposition. I was sorry to have missed you in New York, but one of us will be on shortly and hope for better luck at that time.
Yours very truly,
A.E. Quest
