Gentlemen:
I am opening a large exhibition in St. Paul, Minnesota on November 10th. This is under the auspices of important people for the benefit of the local art school. It is to be quite a social event, as I have many clients there and am going to do it in a fine way. I shall need three or four tapestries. You will recall that we discussed this, this summer, while in Paris. I do not wish them too large or expensive.
Would it be possible for you to send me some photographs, with sizes and prices, which I might look over before you make a shipment?
Please think this over and advise me as soon as you can, suggesting what you could let me have. Several of my clients in Minneapolis are apt to be interested in tapestries, so that I would also make the effort to show them after the St. Paul show, which will last only a week.
Please to say that our opening exhibition here is a success and some of our most important paintings have been sold. I sincerely hope that you are having a splendid business there, and, with our kindest regards to you all, believe me,
Yours sincerely,
Chester H Johnson
