Dear Mrs. Jonas:

We had had delivered today to you the beautiful head by Epstein.

I am sorry that the base on which this head stands is only a temporary one and does not present the sculpture as well as the final one will. If you decide to keep this Bronze, I shall be glad to have a black marble stand made, so as to present this head to its best advantage.

May I again remind you that it is very difficult indeed to get any works by Epstein and that I have tried everywhere without success.

Thanking you very much for your kind interest which I fully appreciate, please believe me to be

Yours very respectfully,

(Cesar M. de Hauke)
