Mr. Germain Seligmann,
Jacques Seligmann & Co.,
5 East 57th Street,
New York City, N. Y.

Dear Germain:

Referring to your letter of September 16, 1941, I would be glad to know if you still have the painting by "Qùillard" or if you turned it back to Lowy.

If you have not sold it, and if you will kindly let me know if Lowy has it in his possession, I will write him to send it to me. I would rather have it in my home here than to leave it in storage in New York.

I hope this letter finds you in good health and that business is not too bad with you. I am extremely busy here and have had no time yet to go to New York. I will certainly be happy to see you again, and with best wishes, I remain.

Yours sincerely,
Edouard Jonas
