Dear Edouard:

Your letter of November 4th., has just reached me with the photograph of the VUILLARD painting. It indeed looks like a very attractive one, but as long as you say that you definitely do not want to sell it, for the time being at least, my interest in it is, of course, strictly platonic!

Thank you, nevertheless, for mailing it to me.

I am happy to hear that you are going to drill another well, and my best wishes accompany you in this venture.
