Pittsburgh, Pa.

Dear Mrs. Jones,

We would like to call your special attention to one of the most important paintings that has come to the United States in recent years. It is another version of Lord Lansdowne's famous "Hope Nursing Love" by Sir Joshua Reynolds. We acquired it from a private collection in England, and in color as also in composition, it is undoubtedly, one of Reynold's masterpieces.
At the same time, we would also like to have the privilege of showing you a very find late 16th Century Spanish portrait of a distinguished lady of title in the elaborate costume of the period by Pantoja de la Cruz.
Both these pictures are now in our New York galleries, and we would be very pleased to show them to you at any time you could conveniently call in here.
Hoping to be favored with your visit, we are

Yours very truly,

JACQUES SELIGMANN & Co., Inc.
