My dear Sir:

Mr. Germain Seligman wishes me to acknowledge receipt of your air-mail letter of September 10th, and to express his thanks for same. 
It arrived just about the time when he was leaving for the airport, and this will explain the reason for his not writing to you personally.

He wishes me also to let you know that the letter you referred to of August 3rd with photographs has not yet reached him.
