Born Paris, February 25, 1893. Critic, expert, collector and President Jacques Seligmann & Co., international art dealer, New York and formerly of Paris (ancien Hôtel Sagan). Son of Jacques Seligmann, founder of the firm and well-known expert. One of the chief advisors to J.P. Morgan.

Old master drawings with nucleus of French 17th century. 19th and 20th century drawings and paintings, including comprehensive group of Roger de la Fresnaye, examples by Corot, Seurat, Odilon Redon, Braque and Picasso. Medieval enamels and Renaissance bronzes and 18th century objets-d'art. All collected by Germain Seligman during past forty years.

Rubber stamp with black ink. Usually on face of drawing, sometimes on back. Position depends on suitability, but usually lower right.
