WAR DEPARTMENT
OFFICE OF THE CHIEF OF STAFF
WASHINGTON

November 25, 1941

Dear Seligmann:

Thank you for your letter of November 22nd and the article on the Carolina maneuvers by Walter Lippmann. It is a gratifying article, and also good evidence that first-hand knowledge of conditions frequently produces quite a new viewpoint.

I am very sorry that I cannot arrange to see you this week-end, as I shall be attending the maneuvers in the Carolina area then. Hope to see you some time later on,however.

With warm regards,

Faithfully yours,

Germain Seligmann
