Samuel Marx, Esq.,
108 North Dearborn
Chicago.

My dear Mr. Marx:-

Just a line to tell you that upon my return to Chicago, I called you up and found that you were out of town that day.

I want to tell you how sorry I am not to have seen you, and to ask you not to fail to let me know when you will be in New York.

I will be in Chicago again in January, when we will hold an Exhibition at the Art Institute, and trust I may have the pleasure of meeting you then.

With my best regards to Mrs. Marx and yourself,

Pray Believe me,

Yours sincerely,
