blow. By what I can see poor Peter or any other freedman stands small chance. I could with any jury clear this man as having acted in self defence only and that after his house had been entered by an armed force they not being content but following him outside. I trust you will send me written instructions how to at relative to this and other cases about to brought before this court.

P.S. Peter was arrested sent to jail remained there some twenty days no charges being sent with him or brought against him in that time he was released but is now brought up again on some complaint. I claim he has already been punished
