Respectfully referred to Lieut. Hoge 6th Inf. A.C.S. who will please obtain an endorsement hereon from Mr Hines showing the terms upon which this building was sold to Mr Marco. H. S. Hawkins Capt. 6th Inf Comdg. Office ACS Darlington SC Aug 9th 1866 Respectfully referred to Mr Hymes whose attention is called to the endorsement of Capt H S Hawkins Comdg Post. S L Hoge Lt 6th Infty ACS Darlington S.C Aug 9th 1866 Respectfully returned to Lt S. L. Hoge 6th Infty A.C.S with the information that I sold the building to Mr Marco now occupied by Lt. S. L. Hoge as a Commissary Store with the express understanding that the said building was to be used by Lieut. J C Duff ACS as Commissary Store House as long as he wished it, with a free entrance to the street and it was with that express understanding that Mr C Marco made said purchase and agreed that Lt J C Duff ACS should have the same for a commissary store House.
