Puvis de Chavannes ...

MANET's study for "Lola", in the Louvre,
A portrait of Arsène Alexandre by Alphonse LEGROS, later given by the sitter to Robert de Montesquieu,ę

Three drawings by LEPERE which were studies for engravings.

And, of course, amongst the more important artists the Exhibition runs the gamut from PRUDHON and INGRES to VAN GOGH, SEURAT and LAUTREC. In this group, for example, are included:

Three fine INGRES portraits
GERICAULT's study for "La Course de Chevaux Libres"
CARPEAUX's study for "La Danse" in the Opéra
RENOIR's water color study for the "Shepherdess" in the Louvre
VAN GOGH's head of "The Postman" (not the one owned and exhibited by us before)
SEURAT's "Poseuse", a study for the famous Barnes picture,
LAUTREC's "Dinan", who appeared on the cover of a song, and others.

We are hoping to get the exhibition hung by Friday or Saturday, so that perhaps you may come in and see it prior to the opening on Monday, the 29th.

Please believe us to be

Yours very sincerely,
