O'T:M

December 13th, 1932.

Dear Mrs. Netcher,

As instructed in your telephone conversation with Mr. Germain Séligmann this morning, we are delivering to you by express prepaid the SEURAT drawing, "Le Chapeau Niniche" and also the drawing by Edmund CROSS, "Au Café", that you purchased in Paris and that we have been holding here awaiting your delivery instructions.

We are writing to Mr. Robert Harshe, Director of the Chicago Art Institute, confirming to him your decision of the Chicago Art Institute, confirming to him your decision to begin the Memorial we discussed together, with the charming water color by Berthe MORISOT that you liked so much. I know that Mr. Harshe will be delighted with your choice, as he was so enthusiastic over the idea when I spoke to him here in New York last week.

We wish to thank you for your permission to keep this most representative work in our current exhibition of water colors and drawings, which, incidentally, has caused most enthusiastic comment and a number of the most favorable criticisms have appeared in New York papers.

If you come to New York before the end of the month, you willhave a chance to see the exhibition in its entirety, as we plan to continue it until December 31st.

Trusting you will receive the SEURAT and the CROSS drawings in good condition, and with my very best regards,

Please believe me to be

Yours sincerely,

(James St.L. O'Toole)
