will keep possession as long as possible I had intended to have had a vacation after Examination but I was afraid they would take possession of the room so I kept on teaching [[strikethrough]] only in the morning [[/strikethrough]].

Next month I will have a very large school if I can still have a school room but if we are turned out of the church where we are I do not know of any other we could get that would be large enough. I suppose you remember that we first got possession of the room on proof that the colored people had paid for the building of the room but as this was when they were slaves they will have no right of possession now in the judgement of the Civil Authorities.

I am keeping hands and Mr. & Mrs. Welch are boarding with me. If the cholera should get very bad at Galveston you must all come to Austin cholera nor yellow fever has never been here and I think we are safe for no person who was infected before starting for this place would even live to reach here but would die of hardships by the way.

Please give my love to Mrs. Wheelock and your sister and tell them my house shall be large enough for you all if you are obliged to leave Galveston.

your truly
Fannie Campbell
