I have got my weekly wash out on the back porch.the clothes are frozen stiff and icicles hanging from the lower part. they will be the whiter for freezing. then at night I bring them in and hang them over the fire to dry and take them up in my room in the morning.
I hope your coal is holding out and you do not freeze before warmer weathers. I worry a lot about you. its lucky you can go out when its such cold weather. yesterday Hazel Drake came over to pay the rent and I told her what you asked me to about those trees and she said Mr Turner had not been there to replace them yet.
It certianly will seem good to see the bare ground once more. the snow is still deep no one comes to our back door. theres no path made through our grove Hazel came around the road and up Walnut street yesterday. Mrs Barry went to Chicatau but last Thursday but Phoebie Hill called for her and brought her back. that was the first time she had been out for a long time most a week. this slippery going she is afraid of. there has been so many accidents Martha Bullock didn't have to go outside. she slipped and fell in the house when she stepped down out of an old chair. she said her leg buckled under her and she fell and broke her wrist. well this is all I can think about this time love Ma
