Mr. Germain Seligman

New York 22, N.Y.

Dear Mr. Seligman:

Thank you very much for your letter of November 12th, which I have read with interest, and I think it gives us ideas which are very important to our organization and to which we will give due attention.

I am well aware of the fact that you can't always be buying masterpieces of the top people but we are not in a great hurry on this issue and it may be that we can wait our time and get just what we want.

My plans are very indefinite as to going to New York so I am not able to give you any particular date, but as soon as my plans are made, I will write you.

Thank you most heartily for the fine booklet that you sent to us on the sculptures, which we will make a part of our library of The Putnam Foundation.

We very much enjoyed your visit and I am hopeful that we can find some ways of getting together on some business. In any event, our minds are wide open on this particular question.

Sincerely,
F.S Parker
