Mr. Germain Seligman,
Jacques Seligmann & Co. Inc.,
5 East 57th St.,
New York 22, N.Y.

Dear Mr. Seligman,

In response to your letter of October 2nd, I would say that I expected to be in New York shortly but conditions have changed and I doubt if I can get there much before the end of the year and in the meantime I wondered if you would care to send me the details on the so-called Vermeer and the price, including the photograph. I would be interested to look at it.

We're just concluding the purchase of a substantial amount of pictures and are anxious to clear this whole purchase up before we enter into any new purchases. However, your offering excites my imagination and I would like very much to know more about it.

With kindest regards,

Sincerely,

F. S. Parker
