October 27th, 1937

In addition to the group from the Doucet Collection and certain other private European sources, the following American collectors will be represented in the exhibition:-

Mr. Walter P. Chrysler, Jr.
Mr. Leonard C. Hanna, Jr.
Mr. & Mrs. William Averell Harriman
Mr. & Mrs. William S. Paley
Mr. Joseph Pulitzer, Jr.
Mr. & Mrs. Walter S. Brewster

From the above, you can see that it will be an exhibition of quite some importance, not from the point of view of quantity perhaps, but of unusual quality and of greatest interest to modern painting, and if you can possibly manage it, do come in on Monday for a moment.

Your kind offer to let us have your photographer is greatly appreciated by me, and especially Germain who was delighted with your intelligent thought. He will, no doubt, speak to you about it. You can imagine that I am feverishly busy getting the very choicest of New York's glamour girls in here Monday afternoon so that Blake will not be disappointed.

Should you, by any chance, wish any further information, please do not hesitate to let me know.

In the meantime, many thanks for any cooperation you may be able to give me, and kindest personal regards.

As always,

(R. H. Waegen)
