Gentlemen:
We are advised by Mrs. Spencer Penrose of Colorado Springs, that you have issued an all-risk Fine Arts Policy covering the small antique secretary which she is shipping to us for purposes of repair.

We presume that this cover relieves us - as is customary in such cases - of all responsibility; that is, underwriters renounce all recourse against our firm as well as our restorer. If so, we would ask for your confirmation.

Should your policy not contain this clause, we would evidently have to cover the object ourselves at the expense of our client.

Yours very truly,

JACQUES SELIGMANN & CO., Inc.
