Dear Mr. Porter:

I thought you might be interested to have one of the copies of the new special edition of the history of the Palais Sagan, our main place in Paris, so I am herewith enclosing you one with our compliments.

By-the-bye, as you know I sent miss Mabury one or two photographs of clocks and ornaments which I thought might go with those two bronzes I sold her last year, but she wrote back to say she did not like any of them.

Now, it has just occurred to me that perhaps you would not mind giving me your personal idea in this matter, because if you could let me know the approximate height and width and also the style of clock that you would like to see there, I would go through our stock in Paris when I get there next month, and see whether we have anything that might be suitable. Any information you might be able to give me would be greatly appreciated.

Trusting this letter will find you in the best of health, and with my kind regards,

Believe me to be,

Yours sincerely,
