Colonel Jacob Ruppert,
1116 Fifth Avenue,
New York, N. Y.

Dear Colonel Ruppert:

Although I haven't had the pleasure of seeing you since I left Scott & Fowles, I am writing you this letter to tell you that we have recently acquired two of the most important paintings that have come to the United States in recent years: one being a very rare portrait by Van Dyck, and the other one of Sir Joshua Reynold's masterpieces.

As you no doubt know, we have a very large collection here of all kinds of works of art, including tapestries, fine old furniture, Italian Majolicas, etc., and under any circumstances I would esteem it a great privilege to be able to show you through our Galleries.

Hoping to see you sometime, believe me to be

Yours very truly,
