POTENTIAL CASH GENERATION AND APPLICABLE HOURLY RATES FOR GENERAL AVIATION INDUSTRY

DATA SOURCES AND METHODOLOGY

FOR THE YEAR 1968

In developing a study of general aviation for airways financing, we have applied various registration fees upon general aviation aircraft and by classes of aircraft and by types of use as outlined in the attached Exhibit B. The proposed registration fees produce annual revenues totaling $91,967,000 annually. Exhibit A reflects this annual cash generation of nearly $92 million reflected by the various types of use.

The number of aircraft by type of use was developed by projecting 1968 general aviation aircraft by type of use beginning with the year 1966 as reported by FAA in their information release dated December 1, 1967, and ending with the year 1975 as reported by the National Business Aircraft Association, Inc., as published in their special report, "Business Flying," dated March 1967.
