Approximately ten days after the announcement of the New Jersey flights, on May 21, New York Airways announced its first of many joint agreements with the other airlines. Flying Tiger, a freight airline serving most of the country, agreed to send its freight from its base to Newark to Idlewild International Airport by helicopter in order to speed it in its way. The reason a separate agreement was made with Flying Tiger was, the fact that it was not a member of Air Cargo, as were all the other airlines that New York Airways has agreements with. (1)

It was also announced at that time that the fifth helicopter (418-A) had been delivered. With the addition of this craft, New York Airways had now its complete fleet which is in use up to this present day. (2)
