should be capable of providing circuitous or multiple routings between any two points with sufficient accuracy to provide minimum desired lateral separation.

-High frequency helicopter operations over routes between or within heavily populated areas will require a very realistic and conservative use of airspace. Due to the precise flight control and manoeuvring characteristics the 10 mile airway width should be reduced to a 3 mile width for designated helicopter airways.

-A time or spacing separation must be provided for flights proceeding along identical flight paths.

-In major terminal areas the width of a helicopter airway should be in the order of one mile.

-In major terminal areas it appears necessary and quite reasonable to reduce altitude separation of the aircraft to at least 500 feet.

-The efficient movement of high frequency helicopter traffic may require the development of automatic electronic air traffic control equipment.

-The let-down aid should be designed for operation in congested areas with high obstructions close-in and without the need of a large ground plane reference.

-It would be desirable from the standpoint of safety, reliability and economy to utilize one aid for enroute navigation and let-down procedures.

-The let-down aid should be capable of holding a given
