5.0 EMERGENCY AT HANGER- LAGUARDIA

5.1 The Port of New York Authority fire signal alarm for LaGuardia: 
Hanger: Fire - 5 bells - pause - 2 bells
        Sprinkler discharge - 8 bells - pause - 2 bells

5.2 FIRE DUTIES - MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL

Listed below are the fire duties assigned to line maintenance personnel. All other personnel on duty will group outside of hangar door to assist when ordered to do so by Brigade Warden.

1. LINE LEAD MECHANIC - (Brigade Warden)

Brigade Warden and alarm box runner (alarm boxes located two on east wall and one at hanger door controls). Alert Port Authority fire station by actuating alarm box and notify Dispatch of emergency, if possible. Coordinate all efforts to extinguish fire and save as much equipment as possible.

2. Two line mechanics Number 1 and 2 man applicable fire extinguishers on order of Brigade Warden. 

3. Two line mechanics Number 3 and 4 move aircraft out of hangar to south end of hangar pad, away from hangar doors on order of Brigade Warden.

4. One line mechanic, Number 5, move gas truck to normal parking spot in vicinity of the wind-tee.

5.3 FIRE DUTIES - DISPATCH PERSONNEL

1. Dispatch will advise switchboard operator to alert all departments to evacuate the building (if necessary). All office personnel will proceed out of the hangar and remain well clear of the hangar area until the emergency is over. 

2. If alarms sounds and no information is received from maintenance, Dispatch will call Port Authority, Extension 8333 on the field phone to determine nature of alarm. Dispatch will then notify the switchboard as in step "1".
