C. A NEW YORK AIRWAYS STEWARDESS

A New York Airways stewardess is an employee of the company who is designated as being in charge of cabin service. A stewardess is responsible for the welfare, comfort, enjoyment and safety of all passengers. This is to be carried out in a gracious and resourceful manner. A stewardess will assist in the performance of ground service to be delayed or cancelled passengers.

The key to the job of a New York Airways stewardess is: FRESHNESS - ENTHUSIASM - VITALITY — without these three she will not be able to carry out her duties successfully.

D. CHECK RIDES/ EVALUATION REPORTS/ TRAINING

In order that the highest degree of passenger service is offered N.Y.A. passengers at all times and that stewardesses are familiar with emergency equipment and procedures, all stewardesses are required to have periodic check rides and evaluation reports.

The purpose for these are to assist the stewardess with any problems and correct any deficiencies in the service they are rendering.

Stewardess may be required to attend stewardess meeting, training class, and report to her supervisor for evaluation reports on her days off.

Stewardess initial training will consist of two weeks. Exceptions may be under emergency situations and she will be given the minimum amount of training which will qualify her to handle the aircraft cabin and passenger safely under any circumstances.

Stewardess will be given recurrent training after each twelve (12) months of employment. This training will consist of emergency procedures, first aid and current policies. This training will be sixteen (16) hours.
