E. STEWARDESS MEETINGS

The purpose of such meetings is to permit exchange of information between stewardesses and their supervisors for the purpose of disseminating current information, with the overall objective of achieving the highest standards of passenger service.

These meetings are designed to keep the stewardesses well informed of company policies, current events in New York City, and passenger procedure changes. They are also designed to assist the stewardess in her job.

The stewardess should always feel free to call to the attention of her supervisor problems of any nature affecting working conditions and passenger service.

These meetings will be scheduled one each month. Stewardesses that are not flying are expected to attend.

F. STEWARDESS CONDUCT

1. New York Airways does not desire to interfere with the personal affairs of its employees. However, any unfavorable conduct performed by a stewardess either on duty or off duty that could jeopardize the reputation of New York Airways will be cause for immediate dismissal. 

2. Drinking of alcoholic beverages while a stewardess is on duty, while in uniform, or 10 hours prior to reporting for work is prohibited.

3. Smoking on the aircraft or in public while in uniform is forbidden. A stewardess may smoke in a public restaurant or covered car. 

4. Stewardesses shall not chew gum while in uniform in the presence of the public.

5. The acceptance of tips from passengers is not permissible. Tips must be politely refused.

6. All stewardesses are expected to pay their just accounts. Continual complaints from vendors will be cause for dismissal.

7. Formal address creates a favorable impression to our passengers, therefore, stewardesses are required to address their co-workers formally in the presence of passengers.
