The Decca Navigator System ground systems are operated by a wholly-owned subsidiary of New York Airways. The System utilizes a standard Mark X chain with Mark VIII airborne receivers. It is a low-frequency hyperbolic transmission offering automatic position and continuous tracking information with respect to known geographic locations. The ground stations consist of a "Master" station and three related "Slave" stations. To permit the airborne receiver to discriminate between the stations, each one in the chain transmits on a different frequency. The received signals, which are related to a base frequency, are multiplied in the receiver to produce a common frequency which is then subject
