Office of Bureau of Refugees, freedmen and Abandoned lands for Robeson Co
Aug 19th, 1865

This indenture made and entered into this 19th day of August 1865 - between Jacob Thompson of the County of Robeson or the one part and Solomon Thompson a Freedman of the other part witnesseth that - for and in consideration of the delivery by the aforesaid Jacob Thompson & the said Solomon Thompson of 30 bushels of corn at harvest for his services from April 1865 to January 1866, then he the said Solomon Thompson binds and obliges himself to render true and faithful service obeying all lawfull commands as in times past, to the said Jacob Thompson, and the said Jacob Thompson agrees to furnish the said Solomon with food until the end of the year. I
