Dear Sir
I respectfully forward the following particulars in relation to the two Plantations of Mr Jno. Townsend, both of which I visited this day in company with Mr Townsend.

On his Plantation known as "Sea-Cloud" which we first visited and which is occupied entirely by strangers, the people received us, much to my surprise, with feelings of angry excitement, owing to the presence of Mr. Townsend.
