Dear Sir
I respectfully forward the following particulars in [[strikethrough]] the [[/strikethrough]] relation to the Plantation of James E. Whaley.

On this Plantation there are (18) Eighteen Freedpeople (able bodied), (5) Five old & infirm and (22) Twenty-two children. Twenty-one of these people came to this Plantation on the 6" Jany 1866, and Two on the 12" Jany 1866. All these people belong to this Place. Twenty acres of this Plantation were cultivated [[strikethrough]] by [[/strikethrough]] last year by the people who were strangers to the place and who have now left it. None of these people
