Dear Mrs. Donadio:

Mr. Seligman has given me your letter inquiring about the Harpignies drawing, Etang de Grand-Rue on behalf of Mr. Sonnenberg. We are pleased to add to your information that the drawing is char-coal, and is signed at the lower right, "Harpignies 1910". Although not indicated at the time of sale because the meaning was not known, there is possibly the mark "A & T" on the reverse. Subsequent research has revealed it to be that of Arnold and Tripp, Paris dealers who handled much of Harpignies' production for many years and were personal friends of the artist.

I hope this information may be of some assistance to you.

Sincerely,

Joellyn Duesberry
