Dear Mr. Sonnenberg:

It gives me much pleasure to forward herewith my firm's invoice in the amount of $1,000 (one thousand dollars) covering your purchase of the drawing by Charles MULLER, "Caa et Chapeau".

With the drawing, which is being delivered to you simultaneously with this letter, you will find an exhaustive pamphlet, which I hope will be in keeping with your request.

You will recall it was your desire to have, besides a photograph of the painting in Versailles representing André Chenierin the prison of St.-Lazare, additional historical background. Your drawing is a study for one of the details of this painting.

Should the topic not be fully covered in keeping with your wish, please do not hesitate to let me know.

Hoping you will enjoy this quite exceptional work of art, and with personal regards,

Sincerely yours,

Germain Seligman
