Oct 4th

H.M. Roberts, Lieut. & Asst Supt. R & A.
School Division No 3.

Your report and letter of the 27th has come to hand, and in reply to your inquiries I would state that there has already been drawn forage for nineteen horses here and yours are included in the number. Your forage will be sent to you tomorrow by Mr. Kerchival if possible. You do not state whether the Q.M. at Franklin will let you have forage on your or my requisition, but only that there is a plenty there: - a very important mission. You will examine this matter and report as soon as possible

I enclose to you some letters from the teacher under your care to this office. Instruct them as fast as possible that they must make their requisitions on you and not to this office. You will notice that Mr. Buckner's orthography is horrible: your attention is called to the endorsement on his letter.

The weather is pleasant now, and I sincerely hope that you will hurry up matters in your Division as fast
