Lieutenant Wheelock Dear Sir We enclose invoice of Books, sent you agreeably to order - We have however, sent you 5000 Spellers instead of 1000 copies, as we had them ready to ship, and believed you would soon want them - We have still 5000 more of the spellers + 9000 of the Arith ready to ship to you - which think you will order from us. Our Mr. C.J. Barnes is now in New Orleans, and we hope he will be able to make such arrangements with you, as will secure your kind patronage in the future-he will need samples of slates by next week-Yours Very Truly Barnes and Burr Pf.
