Mrs. S. Borman is not entitled to any salary for the month of December 1865. she taught last on the 30th of Nov.

The School on Nicholas Plantation is suspended Mr. O'Hara being discharged and Madam Nicholas the owner of its place not being willing to lease a building for School purpose. I have a house engaged on Orgions[[guess]] Plantation, the next place to Mrs. Nicholase's, where a good and worthy Teacher could be made comfortable and have 100 Schoolars [[Scholars]] if not more. The colord people at this place are willing to pay a Teacher after its last of this Month.

The School at Houma is in operation will have to be suspended on its last of this Month, Capt Francis notifyed [[notified]] me he could not let us have this building after that date, the owner being opposed to the School. The colord people are making arrangements to purchase
