3. Location of Schools?  Houma La. Tigerville La. Wood Lawn — Plantation. Bisland Plantation and Potts Plantation.

4. Whole number of Teachers? 5 White? 2 Colored? 3

6. Whole number of School-houses for Freedmen in your [[strikethrough]] District [[strikethrough]] Parish? Their condition, capacity, value, and by whom owned?  There are no School houses (strictly Speaking) for freedmen in this Parish. The Houma Cold church is used as a School House. a Building is rented at Tigerville, and other buildings are on Plantations.

7. Number of your visits to Schools? 10  Day? 9 Night — Sabbath? 1

8. Number of educational meetings held by you during the month? 1  Where? Houma. I called a meeting of several freedmen and urged on them the necessity of Educating their children and assist me in making all the schools self supporting.

9. Number and names of places, now destitute, in which Day-Schools might be organized?  3. TerreBonne Station  Grand Caillioux and Bayou Black.

10. Number of pupils (estimated) who would attend such Schools? about 100 Each School.

11. Amount which would probably be raised by the Freedmen, for school purposes, in each destitute neighborhood? —

12. What efforts are you making to secure the support of schools by pupils, parents, boards of education, or the State government?  all that I possibly can, and I will succeed after this year as the Freedmen will be in better circumstances.

13. Whole number of additional School-houses, for Freedmen, now wanted in your Sub-District? —

14. Could you organize your Sub-District into School Districts, each with a School Committee pledged to carry on schools therein?  Cannot answer at present

15. To what extent would help from without be needed in such cases? —

16. What is the public sentiment as to the education of the Freedmen and Poor Whites? Pretty Favorable — when they are not troubled pecuniary;

17. Are Night-Schools for Adults needed in your District? Ys  In what way could they be carried on?  After the busy season, I will be able to organize several night schools — on plantations &c

18. What more can this Bureau do for educating the children of Refugees (or Poor Whites)?  No More. And a great deal of heartfelt gratitude is Extended to the Bureau by the Freedmen of this Parish for its Valuable assistance both Past & present

19. How long will Northern charitable aid be needed for Freedmen and Refugee Schools of your District?  Untill — Reconstruction is firmly Established - And Rebels compelled to obey The Laws of the country.
