April 16th., 1947

Dear Andre:

It was very nice of you to have written us as promptly as you did, and we both enjoyed receiving your letter of April 2nd.

This as you will realize, derives more from hearing from you, than as regards the news you impart, which is rather disappointing, and this applies to Corot as well as the sale of the B.-D paintings.

You are probably right when you say that what is left has little interest. You may be able to find out who bought the Monet and Sisley, as they may after all have become the property of some private party, who may in turn be willing to sell them. Do keep me posted about this and other matters which you think could be of interest to me.

I have also heard from Roger, and this matter is satisfactorily settled.

With kind thoughts in which Georges joins,

Yours sincerely,

(Germain Seligman)
