STANDING BID - BE SURE!

Periodically it would be desirable for each crew member to reevaluate his desires as indicated on the standing bid. Frequently, after bid awards, someone becomes obligated in a position he no longer prefers.

The standing bid should be considered a short term preference and not an entire career plan. Therefore, with the future bid openings' changes resulting from the expansion, all standing bid holders are requested to reevaluate their bid preference, and whether they have a standing bid filed at this time.

Telegram bids require the correct address to avoid confusion or in some past cases - nonreceipt. Telegrams should be addressed as follows:

Mr. R. L. SIMPKINS
TWA FLIGHT OPERATIONS
605 THIRD AVENUE
NEW YORK, N.Y.

SKYLINER - MAILING

The SKYLINER direct mailing program requires correct address and zip code.

If your address changes, or you are not receiving the SKYLINER by mail, advise the office of your DTM-F. An address change requires the completion of a new Internal Revenue (IRS) Form W4 card. These cards are used from payroll for the SKYLINER mailing as well as pay checks.

The new IRS - W4 card will not affect your withholding (or tax) and the zip code must be included.

DREADHEAD - CHECK-IN

Reports indicate that many crew members deadheading on wire authorization have been proceeding directly to the gate check-in without first obtaining a copy of their wire authorization. This practice diverts a considerable amount of the gate agent's time away from our revenue passengers.

When deadheading, all crew members are requested to check in at the ticket counter and pick up a copy of their wire authorization before proceeding to the gate. Observance of this procedure will help to eliminate gate check-in congestion and resultant boarding delay.
