Airports Was Stopped?

Last year, [[strikethrough]] 225, [[/strikethrough]] 253,000 000 airline passengers would have had to find some means of ground transportation if the helicopter flights of New York Airways had not been available.

In 1965, it is estimated that [[strikethrough]] 450,000 [[/strikethrough]] almost a half a million airline passengers would be faced with the same problem if the helicopter service were not operated. Virtually all these travelers would be forced to use automotive transportation, adding that much more confusion to the complex pattern of city traffic.

The peak highway loads during morning and evening would be substantially increased if the helicopter flights did not relieve the burden. New York Airways provides services from 7:00 A.M. to 11:00 P.M., and flight frequency is concentrated during morning and evening rush hours.

Airline passengers between Metropolitan area airports would lose significant time. For example, a helicopter scheduled flight time from
