5.  [[underline]] Subway and Taxi: [[/underline]] All combination subway and taxi services reported are assumed to originate at 5th Avenue and 14th Street. Riders to Kennedy Airport would use the IND Subway north to 53rd Street, and then east through Queens to Kew Gardens. At the Kew Gardens Station, passengers would transfer to a taxi and complete their trip to the airport via Queens Boulevard and the Van Wyck Expressway. Riders to LaGuardia Airport would use the same IND Subway to Roosevelt Avenue and Broadway in Queens. At the Roosevelt Avenue Station, passengers would transfer to a taxi and complete their trip via Roosevelt Avenue, the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway and Grand Central Station in Newark, New Jersey. At Newark, passengers transfer to a taxi and complete their trip via the McCarter Highway and U.S. 1.

[[underline]] Downtown Origins to East Side Airlines Terminal or West Side Airlines Terminal: [[/underline]] Downtown Manhattan trips are assumed to originate at the intersection of Wall and Nassau Streets. The assumed taxi route from this intersection to the East Side Airlines Terminal is via Broad Street, Franklin D. Roosevelt Drive, Forty-second Street and Second Avenue. Taxis travel from this intersection to the West Side Airlines Terminal via Broad Street, Beacon Street, Battery Place, the West Side Elevated Highway, Fortieth Street and Tenth Avenue.

[[underline]] Downtown Origins to Airports: [[/underline]] The assumed taxi route from the intersection of Wall and Nassau Streets to Kennedy Airport is via Nassau Street, Park Row, Bowery, Delancy Street, the Williamsburg Bridge, the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway, the Long Island Expressway, Queens Boulevard, and the Van Wyck Expressway. The taxi route to LaGuardia follows the same route to the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway. Taxis continue on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway to the Grand Central Parkway and the Airport. Taxis to Newark Airport travel via Nassau Street, Cantre Street, Canal Street, the Holland Tunnel, the New Jersey Turnpike Extension and U.S. 1.
