A typical list of the types of instrumentation, navigation and air traffic control systems to be evaluated is as follows:

Area coverage navigation system (Loran C/D or Decca: micro-miniturization) including cockpit presentation.

Radio Altimeter

Gyro Horizon

Trasponder (Secondary surveillance radar; Alpha/numeric displays)

VHF Data link

Marker Beacon

Glide Slope Receiver

Static Discharge System

Course and ILS Indicator (Direct reading displays)

External Lighting

Special Flares

Communication Equipment

Airborne communications equipment compatible with that to be used on the ground and sufficiently powerful to operate fully within the demonstration areas will be evaluated and the installation engineered and licensed if required. Consideration will also be given to the requirements of complementary missions and air traffic control requirements.

Start-Up and Training

A start-up and training program would be developed including the writing of flight and maintenance repair and overhaul manuals.
